HAPPY THANKSGIVING
As we gather with our families and those we love over this Thanksgiving holiday, let us reflect on the past year and our many blessings.
Here at Local 2222 we have much to be thankful for, including:
- Our new contract with Verizon
- Our newly organized VZB brothers and sisters
- Our job security
- Our solidarity, which makes it all possible
Myles Calvey and the entire leadership team at Local 2222 wish every member and your families a Happy Thanksgiving
ANOTHER HAPPY THANKSGIVING - THANKS TO 2222

The generosity of the membership of local 2222 never ceases to amaze. We once again held our annual Thanksgiving drive to benefit The New England Home For Little Wanderers and the families they serve.
Through your kindness, we collected and distributed well over $6,000 worth of food and money. Through your kind donations we were able to make this Thanksgiving Holiday a bit brighter for the neediest of our community. Thank You!

HELP FIND A CURE
Former Local 2222 member and steward Patty Harding needs our help. Her granddaughter Reese, pictured above, has been treated for Neuroblastoma and she has no evidence of disease at this time.
As you may know we're launching 'Comics for a Cure' in Boston, January 9, 2009 to support the neuroblastoma pediatric cancer community nationwide by celebrating with an exclusive line up of headlining comedians here in Boston at the Cutler Majestic Theater.
All proceeds will benefit the Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation which funds research, clinical trials, and provides awareness, education and support for families affected by this nightmare.
Overall, tickets for the show are $55 general admission, $100 VIP/ orchestra, and there is a $40 student discount price (2 tickets at discount max) that can be purchased with ID at the theater's box office.
Thank you for all of your support.

WHAT HAVE I DONE
We enjoy all the benefits we have for one reason and one reason only - we stood together in solidarity and fought long and hard for them.
Now ask yourself these questions: What have you done to make sure we don't lose them, and what are you willing to do?
HANG TOUGH
FYI
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT VERIZON HAS BEEFED UP THEIR SECURITY PRESENCE AT LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT OUR LOCAL. THEY ARE OUT AND ABOUT...BE SMART.
DO NOT TALK TO SECURITY WITHOUT A BUSINESS AGENT. HANG TOUGH!
BE SMART. IF YOU USE A VERIZON COMPUTER TO ACCESS THE INTERNET, EVERY SITE YOU GO TO IS SAVED IN MEMORY AND CAN BE ACCESSED BY SECURITY. LIFE IS HARD, BUT IT'S HARDER IF YOU'RE STUPID. THE JOB YOU SAVE WILL BE YOUR OWN.
YOUR PERSONAL JOB SECURITY IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!
