The DIA is responsible for overseeing the Workers' Compensation system in Massachusetts. We can help you if you are an injured worker, an employer in Massachusetts, an insurer or an attorney.

DOS focuses on making sure every worker is treated fairly, and returns home safely and healthy every day. DOS administers several workplace safety and health programs, interprets minimum and prevailing wage regulations, and licenses employment agencies. DOS also consults with employers to help them comply with safety and health laws.

The Division of Labor Relations was established by legislation in November, 2007 merging the Labor Relations Commission and Board of Conciliation and Arbitration. Although organizationally within the Division of Labor Relations, the Joint Labor-Management Committee retains its unique structure and mission.

The Joint Labor-Management Committee is a forum to resolve disputes between municipal managers and their police officers and firefighters, as well as to discuss issues of common concern. Led by police and fire organizations' officials, municipal managers and neutral representatives of the public, the JLMC encourages amicable labor-management relations.
