MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of the 'Steward's Army' and all activities surrounding the formation and execution of the 'Steward's Army' is to educate the unionized workforce regarding the current state of labor throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States, as well as the issues facing our local union now and in the near future. The 'Steward's Army' will begin to form the logistical infrastructure used to build a grassroots movement of members ready to mobilize and act to protect our wages, hours, and working conditions. The 'Steward's Army' will also be formed to serve as a catalyst of discussion, and examine the history of our movement and our role in the future. The 'Steward's Army' will be the organization called upon to deliver information and call our membership to action as we fight to preserve our way of life and grow our membership.

The formation of the 'Steward's Army' as an active grassroots of our union will take place in phases. One particular phase, the most intensive, will be widespread training sessions, discussion groups, and idea gathering sessions.
