IBEW Local 2222 Members have overwhelminhly expressed their desire to have the VZB Techs join our ranks

Verizon MUST honor their RIGHTS as workers, their RIGHTS as Americans!

On Thursday, June 5, 2008 Verizon Business Executives held an informational meeting at 125 High Street, Boston to set goals and plan strategic initiatives for Verizon Business Global Network Operations Division. 

 

IBEW Local 2222 and VZB Techs added a few items to the agenda:

• Respect the Rights of VZB Techs to join a Union
• Set date to begin negotiations for contract
• Implement agreed upon contract
• Honor said contract

Local 2222 members sent a clear message to VZ & VZB Management that we are united in Solidarity with our VZB Brothers and Sisters.  Members held signs saying "Every Verizon Worker should be a Union Worker" while walking an informational picket line as the meeting was in progress.  We will not relent until VZB Techs are recognized as Union Members!  Hang Tough!
