Thank you to all who attended the meeting in Springfield on June 9, 2007.
On Monday June 18, 2007 Bob Morrison, John Soderlund, Jake Motyl, and Myles Calvey met with Siemens management. This meeting was a follow-up to our meeting of June 9, 2007. There are three items that need to be addressed.
1. Promotions 2. First Job Dispatch 3. New Time Reporting
Promotions – There is an assertion by the members that promotions are handed out by favoritism. The Union negotiated a process that will allow everyone who wants to be promoted an opportunity to do so. However, the member MUST request an action plan to participate. If you have requested a plan and have not yet received it, you should be contacting your steward or the Union Office.
New Time Reporting – The third issue of New Time Reporting is not being addressed at this time. Siemens management has informed us that this new reporting system is not being implemented for several months. Management has assured the Union that we will be given proper notification before any new system is installed. In addition, all members will receive training before you participate.
We have added a Siemens Links Page to the site which will contain various forms, such as the Siemens CBA (contract). To access this new page please click ‘Siemens Links’ at the top of this page. Be sure to check back frequently for updates.
A number of members have had questions recently about viewing their personnel files. This is covered under Article 21.3 of our Contract. To view the Siemens CBA (contract) Please Click Here »
