Local 2222 has recently begun a “Fly the Flag” program. Every few months the flag outside the union hall will be flown “in honor of” or “in memory of “ an individual. If you are interested in having the flag flown please contact the union office.

IBEW Local 2222 is hosting a workshop on Thursday, January 26, 2012 beginning at 5:30 PM, for members interested in becoming a delegate for the 2012 Massachusetts Democratic Convention. The convention will be at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts on June 2, 2012.

Over the past few years IBEW 2222 has enlisted the help of our members on becoming delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Convention. Typically, caucuses are held in February or early March. We need your help again this year, and the good thing is you can help right in your own home town. Check your local newspaper, or check with the local to find the date, time and location of your town's caucus.

Announce your intentions to become nominated to become a delegate and show up the day of the vote. It's as easy as that. Newly elected delegates will be asked to attend the Massachusetts Democratic Convention in June.

Two days out of the year can mean so much for your local. The more delegates we get elected the stronger our voice is at the convention and beyond. Strength is in the numbers and we need you!

If you have any questions or if you are interested in attending the workshop, please call the Union office at 617-929-6000. Again, the workshop will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Union office beginning at 5:30 PM. Refreshments will be served.
