Rally for Sunday Time and a Half Pay
A rally was held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Macy’s in Downtown Crossing, Boston followed by a march to the State House to protest the elimination of Time and One-Half pay for retail and grocery workers. Right now legislators at the Massachusetts State House are considering eliminating Time and One-Half pay on Sundays and Holidays for some 300,000 retail and grocery workers. Every retail worker who gets Sunday premium pay needs this added compensation to survive. Make no mistake – If they are successful with the retail and grocery workers, it will not stop there!
No one in Massachusetts can afford a pay cut – we need make our voices heard and tell the legislature not to cut our pay!
