It’s scholarship application time for Local 2222 members with high school seniors.

IBEW 2222 has 2 scholarships available to high school seniors of our members.  These scholarships are awarded through the Massachusetts AFL-CIO.

Scholarship applicants will be required to take a Labor History Exam. The exam will be administered at the student’s school, during the 1st period, on Wednesday, February 6, 2019.

To qualify for an award the following steps need to be taken:

• Register online at https://www.massaflcio.org/scholarships  The MA AFL-CIO will be accepting applications Monday, November 5, 2018 through Friday, December 14, 2018.  No registrations will be accepted after December 14th.
• Notify Donna Berry at IBEW 2222 by calling 617-929-6010
• Download the study packet to prepare for the exam.  Study guides will be available on Monday, December 17, 2018 at https://www.massaflcio.org/scholarships 
• Notify your school guidance counselor that you will be taking the exam on February 6, 2019. The exam is given the first period of the day.  If school is cancelled that day, the exam will be given the next day school is in session.
