Food Drive to Support Bread of Life


Verizon and IBEW Local 2222 are partnering to support our adopted charity, Bread of Life. IBEW 2222 members can participate in our food drive by taking an hour of Volunteer Time on Thursday, July 22, 2021, to shop for items to donate to Bread of Life.  Please see the list below for requested items:


jelly (plastic jar preferred)granola bars/power bars
canned fruit & cup of fruitsoup & stew & instant cup-of-soup
canned or fresh fruits & vegetables baked beans
cereal - family-sized and individualjuice boxes
meals ready-to-eat (Chef Boyardee, etc)canned meats
mayonnaise (small jars)shelf-stable milk - individual size
pasta & pasta sauce rice mixes, family-size
instant mashed potatoes
laundry detergentdisinfectant sprays - Lysol
paper towels & toilet papertoothpaste & toothbrushes
new socks & underweardiapers, especially large sizes
can openerssupermarket gift cards in $10 or $20 denominations

Bread of Life is a nonprofit organization located in Malden that strives to feed the hungry, the homeless, the needy, and the isolated; to offer spiritual nurture, support, and hospitality; to promote greater peace and justice by addressing broader issues of hunger, poverty, and need; and to conduct our work in a spirit of respect and nonviolence.

This event is completely voluntary, but as we always do, let’s give back to those most in need and support our adopted charity, Bread of Life.  Please notify your supervisor if you plan to participate.
