2 Fundraisers for 2222 Members Jimmy O’Toole & Doug MacDonald
Jimmy O’Toole, a 26-year member of IBEW Local 2222, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bone and Lung Cancer in September 2021. He has fought hard against this disease and is now at home with hospice care. Jimmy’s spirit is strong, and his attitude is impressive. Known for his smile and wit that can light up the room, Jimmy now needs our strength and support. He is married to his North Quincy HS 1991 classmate Kara and is the father of Kaycee, Karaline, Shamus, and Kate. His family is his greatest joy.
His family and friends are holding a fundraiser to help alleviate their financial pressures. There are multiple ways to help:
- Purchase tickets for the event “A Night for Jimmy O’Toole”, Friday, June 3, 2022, 7 pm-11 pm at IBEW Local 103, Freeport St, Dorchester. Tickets $20 available in advance from Jeff Laforest and Sean Gaudet, or at the door.

Doug is beginning his battle against Colorectal Cancer (CRC). The fight against this horrible disease is a physical, emotional, mental, and financial battle.
