As you are aware, National Grid has locked out their workforce of over 1,000 members represented by United Steel Workers Locals 12003 and 12012. In addition, they also dropped the worker’s health care coverage earlier this week.
The Steel Workers are holding a rally to demonstrate union solidarity for their struggle. It has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 18th starting at 4 PM at Boston City Hall Plaza, followed by a march to the State House.
We know first hand what it’s like to be on the street fighting for our jobs and losing our health care coverage. We know first hand what it’s like to fight corporate greed. And we also know first hand that we need our friends in the labor community to be successful. Now it’s our turn again to stand in solidarity.
