2222 Members Step Up Again for a Brother in Need – Thank You!

James Sullivan, son of IBEW 2222 member Dennis Sullivan, was diagnosed with Stage IV Rhabdomyosarcoma in October 2021 at age 19.
Symptoms began the fall of his Freshman year at Loyola Chicago. He needed to return to Boston. Since then, he has undergone extensive chemotherapy/radiation weekly at Boston Children’s Hospital-Jimmy fund clinic. Chemotherapy will continue for the following months ahead and possible clinical trials.

The Sullivan Family would like to thank you all for your generous donations!!!


Verizon Work-at-Home Members

You are eligible to receive a one-time reimbursement of up to $300 for the purchase of an office desk and/or chair. Verizon sent an email today with the reimbursement process details. Reimbursement is eligible for purchases made on or after July 29, 2022. A receipt is required.

Also, starting September 30th, you will receive a $50 monthly stipend for costs related to work-at-home on the fourth paycheck of every month for the prior month’s stipend. Associates who worked or who are considered to have worked (eg. vacation) in the prior month will receive the payment.

About the Authors:

Suzanne Gordon is Senior Policy Analyst at the Veterans Healthcare Policy Institute and the author of many books, most recently, Wounds of War: How the VA Delivers Health, Healing, and Hope to the Nation’s Veterans.

Steve Early is a freelance journalist, labor organizer, lawyer, and the author of, most recently, Refinery Town: Big Oil, Big Money, and the Remaking of an American City. His work has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Nation, among others.

The Labor Guild School of Labor-Management Relations Fall Term begins Monday, September 12th

For over five generations, The Labor Guild School of Labor-Management Relations has been providing members of the labor movement with relevant, top-notch, and practitioner-led education.  Courses range in content, providing knowledge and skills for building just, ethical workplaces in Massachusetts and beyond.  Instructors are experts in a wide range of fields, coming from the ranks of labor lawyers, union officers, arbitrators, and more.

This term, you will have the option of In-Person or Virtual classes. Each class meets on the same day of the week for five weeks from 6:00 to 8:00 PM  


  • The Virtual classes will be held via Zoom on Mondays, 9/12 – 10/17, or on Wednesdays, 9/14 10/12.
  • The In-Person classes will be held on Tuesdays, 9/13 – 10/11, at The Labor Guild, 66 Brooks Dr, Braintree.
