Call Senator Nick Collins & Representative Tony Cabral today
Our Bills have been extended until Friday, July 19th – Please call today
In the Fall of 2019, IBEW 2222 was approached by House and Senate staffers requesting our help with forming a Union. The organizing drive was progressing nicely when COVID-19 closed the State House. In January 2023, organizers worked with Representative Patrick Kearney and Senator John Keenan to file S.2014/H.3069 – An Act relative to collective bargaining rights for legislative employees, which would change the law to allow legislative staff the right to organize, if they chose to do so. The legislation has since garnered support from organized labor, including the AFL-CIO.
In September 2023, 40 testifiers provided over three hours of testimony on the legislation during a public hearing held by the Joint Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight (SARO). The committee did not yield a decision on the legislation and instead chose to extend its review of the bill into the summer, close to the end of the 2023-24 session.
Please call the SARO Committee Chairpersons, Senator Nick Collins and Representative Tony Cabral, and urge them to favorably report out of committee S.2014/H.3069 – An Act relative to collective bargaining rights for legislative employees.

Jollimore Family Fundraiser
On March 22, 2024, Kevin Jollimore, an SST out of the Medford Garage passed away suddenly at just 50 years old. Kevin was a 28-year member who always wore a smile, had a kind word, and an ever-present positive attitude. He leaves behind his wife, Kym, and his two boys, Kevin Jr. and Nicholas.
A Fundraiser was held on Thursday, June 6th to help support Kevin’s family during this devastating time. The event included a DJ, silent auction, raffles, buffet, and cash bar.
Thank you to all for your generosity and support for Kevin’s family. They were overwhelmed by the outpouring from our membership.
Special thanks to all who donated raffle items, time, and services to make the event so successful.
A huge thank you to the event committee as well, Beth Kelliher, Bob Cinelli, and Bob McCusker!
